Aerobility Live @ Blackbushe Air Day

The Blackbushe Air Day is an annual event celebrating all things aviation. There will be fun and games for all the family, with a static aircraft display, food, drinks, live entertainment, a history hub and trade stalls.

Aerobility will be bringing their experience in running the hugely successful online “Armchair Airshow” to a new event we have named Aerobility Live.

Our Aerobility Zone will feature a big screen showing specially recorded aerial demonstrations.
Includes live commentary from real pilots, providing a fascinating insight into the skills required to perform these flying feats.

LAA Rally at Sywell

Volunteers Needed

Aerobility will also be exhibiting at the LAA Rally at Sywell on the 30th of August to the 1st of September 2019 and we will also be looking for a team of volunteers to man the stand.

The LAA is the principal representative body for amateur built and vintage aircraft. They provide a whole host of airworthiness services, technical training as well as providing sector-leading consultation and lobbying on UK and European aviation regulatory matters.

We have been invited to exhibit at their Rally, which will be a good opportunity to get support for the Building a Dream Project.

Please contact adamfurze@aerobility.com if you are able to help on any of those days.

Starlight at Popham

Volunteers Needed

On the 7th of August Aerobility has been invited to an event at Popham called the Starlight Escape. Starlight provides once-in-a-lifetime wishes for children suffering from life threatening and life shortening conditions, as well as providing distraction and entertainment in hospices and children’s wards across the country. The events hosts up to 1000 people including children who have had, or are waiting for their wishes, and those from hospices and hospitals and their families. In holding this event, we hope to provide families an escape from their daily routine of hospital appointments, treatment and distress.

On the day we are planning to have a stand plus an aircraft to show off what we do at Aerobility. We will be particularly focused on gathering a few more applicants for our Aviation Education Programme which will be restarting in September after a brief break. Our role on the day will be to share the story of Aerobility and talk about the great things that the charity do. It should also be a great opportunity to rejuvenate our connections with a younger generation of aspiring aviators.

The event will take place from 1200 – 1600 at Popham Airfield, Coxford Down, Winchester SO21 3BD

Please contact adamfurze@aerobility.com if you are able to help on the day.

See here for details of last year’s event: https://www.starlight.org.uk/recent-escapes/trains-planes-automobiles-and-more-at-starlights-popham-escape/
