Applications now open for Aerobility’s Junior Aviation Course

Aerobility has announced that applications are now open for its 2026 Junior Aviation Course, a four-part programme designed to give disabled young people an exciting first step into the world of aviation.

Previously known as the Junior Aspiring Pilot Programme, the course is run by Aerobility’s experienced staff and volunteers and combines classroom learning with hands-on flying. Participants will build aviation knowledge on the ground before taking the controls of a real aircraft, while also developing valuable everyday skills such as teamwork, communication and organisation.

The course introduces key topics including the principles of flight, radio communication, airfield safety and navigation. Learners then put theory into practice through multiple flights, experiencing what it’s really like to fly an aircraft.

The Junior Aviation Course is open to disabled young people aged 12–18 and is completely free to attend.

Applications open on 19 January 2026 and close at 4pm on 23 February 2026.

Courses will take place on the following dates and locations:

  • Blackbushe Airport: 30 March – 2 April 2026

  • Tatenhill Airfield: 7 – 10 April 2026

For young people with a passion for aviation, the programme offers a unique and inspiring opportunity, one not to be missed!
