The class of AEP 24/25 have completed their course!

Nine months ago, this group of aspiring individuals met for the first time, bonding over a shared passion for aviation. Today, they leave not only with a great understanding of the aviation industry, but also with lifelong friendships and the foundations for strong futures. A heartfelt thank you goes out to all our incredible volunteers and staff whose dedication makes this programme possible. A special thank you goes to our Activities and Education Coordinator, Hailey Crumpton, whose outstanding organisational skills brought everything together for another successful year.

About AEP - The Aviation Education Programme, has been running at Aerobility for many years. The course runs for 9 months, every other Saturday in term time. It boasts an incredibly relaxed class atmosphere with only a handful of students in each class. Run by aviation professionals turned volunteers, the classes are taken for a whistle-stop tour through the aviation industry. Adapted to suit the needs of the participants, the class is perfect for 12-18 year olds with mild-moderate disabilities. The like-minded students soon make friends and bond over a common interest in aeroplanes whilst in a safe learning environment.

Aerobility has found that AEP is the perfect tool for participants to begin building some foundations in topics that interest them within aviation, something that can become valuable for their futures. Providing a safe haven, students usually find common ground at Aerobility at often find themselves returning for other courses or actual flying lessons. We’re very lucky to be able to run AEP every year and this woudln’t be without a wealth of external supporters and donors.
