Heswall Camp and Aerobility create a magical day at Cotswold Airport
Children from Heswall Camp were treated to an unforgettable adventure this summer, thanks to a special flying day hosted in partnership with Aerobility at Cotswold Airport.
In a single day, more than 20 young people with disabilities had the chance to take to the skies, enjoying the wonder of flight in real aircraft with Aerobility’s expert pilots. For many, it was their very first time flying — a moment filled with excitement, joy, and plenty of smiles as they soared above the Cotswolds.
The fun didn’t stop there. The children also got stuck into Aerobility’s mobile flight simulator, where they could try their hand at flying virtually, and to top that off, they even explored Negus, the iconic British Airways 747 at Cotswold Airport, accessing a piece of aviation history.

The atmosphere was full of laughter, wide-eyed wonder, and new memories being made. Carers, helpers, and volunteers alike agreed it was a truly magical day that brought joy to everyone involved.
None of this would have been possible without the tireless dedication of the Heswall Camp helpers, the welcoming support of the Cotswold Airport team, and the passion and energy of the Aerobility crew — all working together to give these children a day they will never forget.
A day of flying dreams, big smiles, and happy hearts.
